University to host open house at Pellissippi State, Feb. 17

(Feb. 3, 2015) – Carson-Newman University will host an open house at Pellissippi State Community College’s Strawberry Plains campus on Tuesday, Feb. 17. The event will highlight Carson-Newman’s MBA program and its new partnership with Pellissippi State. The open house will run from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Whether someone is looking at pursuing their MBA, completing their degree, or simply wanting to learn more about online learning, we invite them to join us in Strawberry Plains,” said Aaron Porter, Carson-Newman’s dean of enrollment management. “It’s just a great opportunity for the public to come and see what all Carson-Newman has to offer.” Porter also said that Carson-Newman faculty and admissions staff would be available to answer questions.

The event will also feature refreshments and door prizes.

Last August Carson-Newman announced a partnership with Pellissippi State allowing the University to offer its MBA program on site at Pellissippi State’s Strawberry Plains campus.

“We are excited about this partnership with Pellissippi State, a strong community college in our area,” said Dr. Kina Mallard, Carson-Newman’s executive vice president and provost of the announcement. “This opportunity allows Carson-Newman to continue to expand its reach to meet the educational needs in East Tennessee and beyond.”

Pellissippi State Community College’s Strawberry Plains campus is located at 7201 Strawberry Plains Pike.
