Operation Inasmuch kicks off September 27

Carson-Newman University will host its annual Operation Inasmuch service blitz Saturday, Sept. 27.

Students will gather at 8:30 a.m. in the Maddox Student Activities Center and kick off the event at 9 a.m. before leaving for service sites. Teams will work until 1 p.m.

Teams will be at over 30 sites in Jefferson City, Morristown, Knoxville, and other area towns.

Since becoming the first college or university to host an Operation Inasmuch event in 2006, Carson-Newman University has established an annual Day of Service. The event sends teams of Carson-Newman students, faculty and staff throughout the region on outreach projects that includes painting, cleaning, landscaping and other work as a way to “give back” to the community. Operation Inasmuch gets its name from the Gospel of Matthew 25:40 where Jesus says: “Inasmuch as you serve the least of these, you serve me.”

The event is coordinated through Carson-Newman University’s Bonner Center. If you would like to participate in our 9th Annual Operation Inasmuch please sign-up here.
