category: Campus News University to hold International Festival April 2 category: Campus News | March 28, 2014 (March 28, 2014)– Carson-Newman University will hold its annual International Festival on Wednesday, April 2. Free and open to the public, the event will be held from 3–6 p.m. The festival will feature the University’s culturally diverse population, as students showcase their home countries. Visitors will have the opportunity to learn more about the different languages, play games, and enjoy music, dancing and folk tales. Guests will also receive a “passport” and the chance to have it stamped at each visited nation. Sponsored by Carson-Newman’s Center for Global Education, the International Festival will be held in the Maddox Student Activities Center. Through its Center for Global Education, Carson-Newman welcomes students from around the world to East Tennessee and offers a variety of travel opportunities through international service projects and study-abroad trips. Twenty-five nations are represented by the University’s student population.
