(Feb. 26, 2014)– Carson-Newman’s University Relations Office recently announced the roll-out of a newly redesigned Journey magazine. The latest issue of the University magazine includes such features as an increase in physical size, larger images, as well as more online companion videos accompanying stories. A change less noticeable to readers, but significant nonetheless, is a move to FSC certified paper. FSC, short for Forest Stewardship Council, means that Journey is now environmentally friendly. The new look and feel is one that Mary Leidig, executive director of University Relations, says she believes will appeal to Journey’s readership which spans across a wide demographic. “The new design is beautiful and expansive in telling the University’s transformational, fun and informative stories,” says Leidig. “Carson-Newman’s faculty, students, alumni and donors are our brand’s biggest enthusiasts. And so we want to keep telling their stories in a package that is modern and elegant and even feels wonderful to hold,” she explains. “Whether you’re at home with a coffee browsing the print version or reading on your tablet – this experience will make you feel proud of Carson-Newman.”
