University welcomes new faculty members for 2013-14

Carson-Newman University began the 2013-14 academic year with eleven new faculty members.

“New faculty breathes new life into our work at Carson-Newman,” said Executive Vice President Kina Mallard. “The most important part of my job is recruiting faculty who fit our mission of academic excellence and Christian commitment. This new class of faculty includes strong teachers, scholars, and mentors,” said Mallard. “They have a heart for service and are dedicated to helping Carson-Newman students excel.”

Dr. Paul Percy began the academic year as the new director of organizational leadership and MBA programs. Joining Percy in C-N’s Business Department is Dr. Zhongdong (Ronnie) Chen.

The Education Department welcomes Sara Demoiny. Joining the nursing faculty are Bobbi Jones, Mary LePage, and Kathy Wilkinson. Jennifer Hartwig joins exercise science faculty. Dr. Megan Herscher joins counseling. Dr. Saemyi Park joins the political science faculty. Dr. Joshua Stone joins the Biology Department. Carson-Newman’s library welcomes Allison Scripa.
