category: Campus News Video: Maples Library Cafe comes to campus category: Campus News | August 20, 2013 VIDEO: Click here to view Maples Library Café video Library, a hub of learning and student life, just got an upgrade at Carson-Newman University with the opening of the Maples Library Café. The Café sits in what was the original Maples Library for the then college. Carson-Newman brings the past to the present by transforming the old book library, located at the rear of the current Stephens-Burnett Library, into an Internet café and study lounge. Maples Library Café opens Wednesday, Aug. 21, at 7:30 a.m. The Café will serve sandwiches, soups and salads and offers Carson-Newman Bakery treats and Java City Coffee. The Lounge is open 24 hours, while the Café hours are the following: Mon. through Thur.: 7:30 a.m. — midnight Friday: 7:30 a.m. — 3 p.m. Sunday: 5 p.m. — midnight
