category: Campus News C-N’s Andrew Pickwell flies high, turns heads category: Campus News | February 25, 2013 Carson-Newman’s Andrew Pickwell has become a frequent flyer on campus basketball courts. The C-N junior gained attention for his ability to dunk the basketball. It’s not just dunking the ball that has led the 6’1” Pickwell to turn heads, but the way he does it. His high-flying recently caught the attention of local WBIR Channel 10 after Pickwell was named one of 24 players in North American to be selected to play in the Sprite Uncontainable Game. All 24 players were picked by their coaches- NBA’s Kobe Bryant and Lebron James. Being named to the team earned Pickwell tickets to the NBA All-Star Game in Houston. Pickwell is a Foods, Nutrition and Dietetics major from Kingsport. Click here to view WBIR’s segment.
