C-N celebrates the holidays with the Fasola Foundation

The Cooperative Management class of the Department of Family & Consumer Sciences hosted a networking luncheon on November 29, 2012 at Duncan Hall honoring members of the Board of Directors of the Juanita Fasola Foundation, Inc. The Fasola Foundation, Inc., which provides funding for the education and training of youth and young adults in basic life skills and family and consumer sciences curricula, has awarded four grants totaling $75,000 to the FCS Department. The grants are being used to transform Duncan Hall Cooperative Management Lab, a two-story, ten room 1920’s house on the north side of campus, model of re-adaptive, sustainable, energy efficient housing. The Duncan Cooperative Management Lab is directed by Dr. Diana D. Carroll, who has been the lead grant writer and director.

Pictured at the luncheon are Mr. Ray Bible; Diana Carroll, Naomi Larson, C-N First Lady, Kay O’Brien; Fasola Foundation Board members, Mrs. Alice Ann Moore and Mr. Jess Francis; Family and Consumer Sciences Department Chair, Dr. Kitty R. Coffey and C-N President, Dr. Randall O’Brien.
