Dr. Chad Hartsock, a C-N assistant professor of religion will present “The Greatest Story Ever Told: Gospel of Luke,” which will examine four elements of a healthy congregation: nurturing, loving, trusting and growing together in the Lord with each other. Truett Theological Seminary and the PhD from Baylor University. His experience includes a decade as youth minister for various churches and service as a supply preacher for many East Tennessee congregations. “The conference will provide pastors the opportunity to share ideas and think of new and unique ways to teach the material to their congregants,” said Hartsock. “We are pleased to host our pastors and serve the church communities that so often help us.” The Norton Institute provides conferences, continued education opportunities and other events to equip and aid local ministers. Thursday’s seminar will be held in Thomas Recital Hall, part of the Tarr Music Center, from 8:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. For more information, contact Anita Newport at anewport@cn.edu or 865-471-3272.
