Freshman Registration makes a “Fantastic Day”

While Admissions personnel are still tallying numbers, they expect that today’s freshman registration drew some 135 new Eagles.

“It’s our third session this spring and it’s been a fantastic day” said Melanie Redding, director of Admissions. “We’ve been praying for them as we have worked with them over the last year or two, so it’s great to watch them getting to know each other and see the excitement they have about being at Carson-Newman. “

Beyond enrolling in classes and meeting advisors, students have taken care of what Redding calls “general housekeeping stuff,” including receiving post office boxes, parking hangtags and the like. Parents on hand for today’s events were able to take part in information sessions and get a feel for campus.

The next freshman pre-registration day is slated for Friday, July 13. To join the fun or take a closer look at Carson-Newman, visit the C-N Admissions web page, contact us via email, or call 800-678-9061.
