category: Campus News NICH Hosts Study on Ecclesiastes category: Campus News | October 7, 2011 Dr. Harold Bryson, C-N visiting senior professor of religion, led sessions on Ecclesiastes during the Norton Institute for Congregational Health’s Fall Bible Conference yesterday. Fifty pastors and lay leaders from Chattanooga to the Tri-Cities were on campus as Bryson discussed the focus of next year’s winter Bible study. An afternoon panel discussion included a student, a local pastor and C-N religion professors Dr. Don Garner and Dr. Wayne Ballard, The author of “An Honest Look at Life: Studies in Ecclesiastes,” Bryson served as professor at Mississippi College, where he also chaired the department of Christian studies and directed the school’s Institute for Christian Leadership. He previously served as the J. D. Grey Professor of Preaching at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, where he also led the pastoral ministries department. Part of the NICH’s annual conference series, the fall session is designed to equip and enhance church leaders in the pursuit of toward overall church health. Bryson’s book is available on Amazon.com, as is his recently published “History Under Control: Studies in the Book of Revelation.”
