Carson-Newman voted a "Favorite" in annual News Sentinel survey

(Dec. 6, 2017) – Carson-Newman University was recently voted "Favorite" in the Knoxville News Sentinel's annual "Best of Knoxville" special section, published Nov. 19.

The issue, which reaches over 436,000 readers, highlights companies and businesses that are voted on over the course of a 4-week online survey by the News Sentinel's readership. Some 70,000 votes were cast in a variety of categories. Only those receiving the most votes are featured in the special section. Carson-Newman fell into the “Small College or University” category.

Founded in 1851, Carson-Newman is a Christian liberal arts university located in Jefferson City, Tennessee, among the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains. The University has over 2,500 students and offers 50 undergraduate majors, as well as associate's, bachelor's, master's and doctorate degrees.
