In addition, their teaching will be supervised by a corresponding music faculty member. Lesson times and days are scheduled by the private student teacher and the family. All lessons are taught in the Tarr Music Center on the Carson-Newman University campus.

Each semester consists of 10 weekly lessons of 30 minutes each. Lessons cost $20 each. Payment may be made for the entire semester ($200, due by September 1), or in 4 monthly installments of $50 each (due on Sept 1, Oct 1, Nov 1, Dec 1). There is also an annual non-refundable $25 registration fee (returning students for Fall 2018 may have the registration fee waived). Checks may be made payable to Carson-Newman University.

Additional costs for music/supplies may be incurred, depending on the requirements of the student’s applied instructor.
