WHAT IS THE STORE?
THE STORE serves as a resource for students who may not have the means to purchase career appropriate clothing.
THE STORE provides a way for students to access FREE business casual and professional attire for career fairs, interviews, and the workplace.
THE STORE attire includes: suits, sport coats, slacks, dress shirts, dresses, skirts, pantsuits, blouses, shoes, and accessories (ties, belts, scarves, jewelry, etc.)
THE STORE is conveniently located on campus in Baker 310.
THE STORE is open (TBA.)
THE STORE is operated by the Student Success Center
THE STORE attire is generously donated by C-N faculty and staff, alumni, churches, and the business community.
*(PHASE 2) - FOOD PANTRY coming Fall 2019
HOW DOES THE STORE WORK?
Students with a current C-N student ID may borrow needed clothing items and are not required to return anything. We encourage student to the keep the clothes they find for future career needs or professional development opportunities.
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
- Time - we are always looking for volunteers to oversee daily operations of our facility. This includes assisting students with their professional attire needs, accepting items for donation from the community, and prepping and merchandising clothing for students.
- Items** - we accept professional attire for men and women to maintain stock in the clothing closet. We ask the clothing be in "ready to wear" condition with no stains, odors, rips/tears, missing buttons, or broken zippers.
- Money** - we are establishing THE STORE as a self-sustaining program. Funding will provide food through Second Harvest, professional items not available through donations, and periodic professional training/seminars in career-related education.
**If you are interested in claiming your donations, then a form for tax purposes is available.
