The Carson-Newman University SNAP Program
The SNAP (Students Navigating Academic Progress) is a controlled study hall for students and student-athletes. Established in 2012, the program is designed to provide an environment for students to study, attend the more than 25 study groups, conduct research, and seek assistance in the Writing Center. Students have morning and evening opportunities to log hours as designated by their advisors and respective coaches. Study halls are managed by proctors in both the morning and evening sessions. A weekly report is sent to coaches by the Student Success Center.
Those in SNAP are encouraged to take advantage of the resources available in the Student Success Center. Participants may visit The Writing Center, Study Groups, Research Librarian, and the Computer Lab while completing their SNAP hours by requesting a pass from the Proctors.
