Carson-Newman College VP for Student Affairs Dr. Ross Brummett congratulates Micah and Amory Hitt (and daughter Leona) following commissioning services this week in Jefferson City. Micah recently earned a master of arts in Teaching English as a Second Language while working with C-N’s English Language Institute. Amory has served as residence life coordinator in Burnett Hall since 2010. The family will move to Harbin, China in conjunction with English Language Institute/China’s (ELIC) University Teaching Program. Micah will teach conversational English and newspaper reading at Northeastern Forestry University while he and Amory seek to build relationships within the institutional community of some 28,000 students. Located near Russia in Heilongjiang Province, Harbin ranks tenth among China’s municipal populations almost six million citizens.
