Carson-Newman’s ODK Chapter Inducts New Members

Carson-Newman College’s Omicron Delta Kappa national leadership society inducted rising seniors as new members in the closing days of the academic year. Church Hill’s Amanda West, a graphic design major, was elected president in the business session that followed the induction ceremony.

Others inducted during the group’s festivities included Morgan Chafin (vice president), nutrition and dietetics, Bristol; Megan Cooper, nursing, Madisonville; Courtney Elizabeth Hock, child and family studies, Marrero, LA; Mallory Eubanks, art, Charlotte, NC; Thomas Jennings, biology, Church Hill; Robert Key, accounting and finance, Knoxville; Glory Ledbetter, pre-professional health and theatre, Morristown; Samantha McConeghey, English, Johnston, IA; Lindsey Newman, elementary education, Maryville; Abi Parker, cross-cultural psychology and English, Campbellsville, KY; Rachel Stone, psychology, Bassett, VA; Thomas Waldrupe, film, Knoxville; and Sarah Beth Walker, music, Mt. Juliet.

Since its founding in 1914 at Washington and Lee University, Omicron Delta Kappa has emphasized superior scholarship, leadership and exemplary character for undergraduate students. The first college honor society of a national scope to honor meritorious leadership, extracurricular service and general campus leadership, the organization seeks to develop holistic leaders on campuses and throughout society.
