Nathan Barger, a junior from Sweetwater, displays the Undergraduate Athletic Training Student Scholarship Award he received last week. Presented by the Tennessee Athletic Trainers’ Society (TATS), the honor, which includes a $1000 scholarship, is presented to one student per year across the state. The recognition was presented to Barger at the organization’s 20th annual banquet, held recently in Nashville.

TATS, an affiliate of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association, is a non-profit organization comprised of over 650 athletic trainers across Tennessee. Each member is a nationally and state licensed health care provider regulated by the state of Tennessee Board of Medical Examiners.
