People Matt Wilkerson ’99 Matt Wilkerson ’99 Chair & Associate Professor of Biology After completing a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biology at Carson-Newman, Matt pursued a variety of jobs, including being a Church Youth Director and owning a Bike Shop! He also competed a Master of Science degree in Biochemistry from the University of Tennessee. When a position came open in the Biology Department, Matt decided to apply and we were lucky enough to be able to add him to our staff! Matt was named Outstanding Student Advisor last year, evidence of how much our students appreciate and respect his advice.
