Clay Oglesby

Adjunct Instructor of Music - Men's Chorus

Clay Oglesby received his B.M. in Vocal Music Education from Carson-Newman University, where he studied voice with Dr. Angela Holder, piano with Dr. Mark Hussung, and conducting with Dr. Eric Thorson. He went on to earn a M.M. in Choral Conducting from The University of Tennessee-Knoxville, where he served as co-director of VOLume, the university's first contemporary a cappella group. In addition to directing the C-N Men's Chorus, Mr. Oglesby is an Instructor of Music at Walters State Community College in Morristown where he teaches voice, ear training, and music appreciation, and conducts the Men's Ensemble. Before teaching at the collegiate level, he taught middle school choir and general music in East Tennessee public schools. Mr. Oglesby has spent over a decade in bi-vocational music ministry and currently serves as Director of Music Ministries at First Presbyterian Church, Morristown.
