The BA with an emphasis in Worship Leadership, is designed to provide students with a passion for leading contemporary worship services with the skills and understanding they need to be effective worship leaders. Students in the BA in worship leadership study voice, piano, guitar, and drums in order to have a first-hand knowledge of the rolls of the instruments and vocal parts in a worship ensemble. Students will also sing in a choir or perform as part of a large instrumental ensemble, and many will audition to join Carson-Newman’s touring contemporary worship ensemble, Redemption.
The BA with an emphasis in Worship Leadership contains 18 elective hours so that students can minor in religion or another field of their choice.
