Orientation will be your exciting, engaging, and one-of-a-kind experiences that allow your child to leap into campus life at Carson-Newman University. They will have so many opportunities to meet new friends and get involved on campus. Our Orientation Leaders are equipped with the knowledge to tackle any questions you may have. Incoming Freshman and Transfer Students are encouraged to participate in this uniquely Carson-Newman experience.

9—10 a.m. Morning Welcome and Information Session – Holt Fieldhouse in MSAC Come listen and get excited about the new adventure that your student is about to embark upon.
10a.m. — 12:30 p.m. Parent Sessions: Navigating Your Student
12:30—1:30 p.m. Presidential Luncheon, Ted Russell Courtyard
2:00-3:00 p.m. Welcome and Prayer Walk, First Baptist Church – Our Welcome Ceremony is a traditional event where our president and many others from the University welcome you, your student, and your family to our Carson-Newman Family. Following the Welcome service, join us for a Prayer Walk through campus that will be led by our President and end on Henderson Lawn for our Soar Social.
3:00—3:30 p.m. Soar Social, Henderson Lawn – Spend time socializing with the faculty and staff, getting to know those who will lead your students in and out of the classroom for the next four years. There will be light refreshments to enjoy during this time.
3:30—5:30 p.m. Family Transition Time – Take some time with your family to say, “see you soon.”
