Youth and Children’s Leader/Pastor

Responsibilities included but not limited to:

• Lead and teach the youth (grades 6th-12th) on Wednesday nights; assist with Sunday school, outings, and mission trips.

• Coordinate with various committees to plan Christ-centered programs for children (ages 3rd-5th grades).

• Encourage participation in church programs and spiritual growth activities.

• Advise students and parents on spiritual matters, college choices, and life decisions.

• Evaluate necessary changes in the youth ministry for efficiency and effectiveness.

• Ensure compliance with child protection policies.

• Build and maintain a record-keeping system for ministry-related information and/or finances.

• Manage youth and children fundraising efforts.

• Assist in outreach programs such as Vacation Bible School.

• Must be willing to work with the Senior Pastor. 

Minimum Qualifications:

• Personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ.

• Understanding of sound doctrine and biblical theology in agreement with the beliefs of First Baptist Church Crossnore, Inc. including the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.

• Clear background check.

• Past experience working with youth and children.

• Strong organizational and relational skills.

• Display qualities such as teamwork, cooperation, dependability, and respect.

• Become a member of First Baptist Church Crossnore, Inc. 

• Must be willing to work towards graduating from a Southern Baptist Seminary, College, or Bible Institute. 

Work Schedule: Full-time position, five days a week, minimum of forty(40) hours per week. Availability to meet with parents upon request.

Relationship: Reports directly to the Senior Pastor, accountable to the Church community.
