Payroll System Administrator
Summary:
Plays a key role in the design and implementation of new HRIS system (Paylocity). Establishes training programs for all payroll functions, records and documents all department processes (systems, pay rules, tax setups, year-end, etc.), implements process and/or system improvements, provides technical systems support, coordinates use of reporting tools, training aids, research tools, etc. SME for new HRIS system.
Essential Functions:
Provides support, recommendations, and expert advice to Payroll /HR Department and Upper-Level Management in areas of payroll processing and reporting, quarterly and year-end payroll tax processing and reporting, and PTO processing and reporting.
Provides leadership to address the day-to-day challenges in a fast-paced payroll environment as well as makes significant contributions to the continuous improvement in quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of the department.
Analyzes business requirements, validates results of payroll and time and labor system, upgrades and enhancements.
Provides leadership in the support of payroll and time and labor system enhancements, testing, implementation and field communication.
Leads and instructs payroll processing staff in organizing workload, communication with field, and development of policies and procedures relating to payroll, time and attendance, and leave entitlement issues and research.
Contributes technical and analytical skills to identify opportunities to streamline and automate existing processes within the department.
Facilitates development and presentation of training materials designed to further knowledge of payroll systems, taxes, regulatory issues, and other payroll related practices. Constantly seek HRIS system and industry training
Conducts regular audits to ensure compliance
Perform other duties as assigned or requested

Position primarily supports internal co-workers across multiple companies.
Access to and works with sensitive and confidential information.
Full time office-based position, M-F 8-5, Morristown TN
Knowledge:
Knowledge of payroll and time and attendance functions.
Advanced report writing and Microsoft programs.
Good organization and communication skills.
Ability to self-direct and self-pace under the pressure of deadlines

Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Computer Science or Business Management
Experience:
5+ years’ experience that includes Payroll Administration and Business Process
Administration or Accounting Administration
