Audit Intern- Spring ’25

At SBF, we take a “people first” approach to everything we do and strive to help our team members find the right balance in their lives. An internship with us will provide you with invaluable experiences in a real-world accounting setting. We treat our interns like professionals and provide them with the opportunity to work on real client engagements and productive client service projects.

Audit Internships: (January- May)

Learns and completes audit procedures according to guidelines and firm procedures
Assesses compliance by examining, analyzing, and verifying financial accounts, fixed assets and inventories, payrolls or cash accounts, grant program costs, records, reports, operating practices, documentation, and related instruments
Verifies information by comparing and analyzing items to documentation
Completes audit work papers by documenting audit tests and findings
Communicates audit progress and findings to coaches and managers
Studies and complies with federal, state, and local legal and regulatory requirements
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing assignments as needed

Qualifications:

A genuinely nice person with a strong work ethic
Keen interest in a career in public accounting
Current accounting major
Personally and academically motivated
Distinguished in the classroom, on campus, and in the community
Prepared to submit the following:
o Current resume
