Honors Day Award Recipients

 

Provost Kina Mallard and President Randall O’Brien (top l-r) announced four special awards at the close of today’s Honors Day celebration ceremony. Students Jody Barker and Byron Bell (bottom row) were presented Algernon Sidney Sullivan Awards and Dr. B.J. Ellington (middle left), associate professor of nursing, received the Community Service Award. Professor of Philosophy Dr. Brian Austin (middle right) was honored as Distinguished Faculty Member, the institution’s highest award for teaching. Profiles on each awardee will be included on the news page next week.
