DESCRIPTION:The 2024 Henrietta Jenkins Poetry Reading will feature Catherine Pritchard Childress.  Childress is the author of two collections: Outside the Frame (2023) and Other (2015).  She is Director of the Stephenson Center for Appalachian and Comparative Highland Studies at Lees-McRae College in Banner Elk\, North Carolina\, where she also teaches courses in Appalachian literature and creative writing.  Childress earned both the BA and MA in English at East Tennessee State University.
