Assistant/Associate Professor of Economics

Carson-Newman University invites applicants for an Assistant/Associate/Full Professor of Economics in the Department of Business. The position is a full-time, 9-month tenure-track position. The position is available immediately; however, applications will be accepted for those not available until May 2022.

Candidates for the position must have a minimum of a Master of Economics. A terminal degree, such as a Ph.D. in economics, Ph.D. in business with an economics specialization or a DBA with a major in economics is preferred.  Candidates with at least 18 graduate semester hours in statistics and/or teaching experience are preferred.

Carson-Newman employs faculty and staff who are actively supportive, through a local church, of its aim as a university with a Christian commitment.

Candidates for the position will teach, advise and mentor students, participate in campus committees, and conduct appropriate research.

The rank and salary will be commensurate with educational preparation and experience.  Group life and health insurance as well as a 401K retirement plan are available on a participating basis.
