Professor Phil Bailey teaches management in the department of business and came to Carson-Newman University in the fall of 2015. He has 35 years of experience as a scientist, entrepreneur, and IT professional. In each of those careers, he successfully managed and supervised organizations and lead teams to create products, improve processes and developing systems. Phil is currently working on his dissertation with the title: Emerging Digital Marketing Strategies Using Mobile Messaging.
Phil and his wife Mary have three children, who are now developing their careers in the law, education, and the U.S. Army. Phil and Mary are members of First Presbyterian Church in Bristol, TN where he is an elder. He spent many years as a scouting leader. He still teaches knots to Scouters of all ages 3-83 years!
