Gloria Walker '16
Gloria Walker has been on staff at Carson-Newman University since 2012. She graduated from the University of Memphis with a Bachelor of Science in Education with a concentration in Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance. Ms. Walker taught physical education and coached in Memphis for 14 years before moving to East Tennessee. She graduated from Carson-Newman University in 2016 with a Masters in Educational Leadership. She currently serves at the C0-director of the Carson-Newman Student Success Center. She is also the Athletic Liaison and serves as an advisor and mentor for student-athletes. As an adjunct professor at Carson-Newman, she teaches Leadership Methods, Academic Strategies, and Academic Success Seminar. Ms. Walker is a member of the Carson-Newman Alumni Association Board of Directors. She also serves as a member of the Lakeway Area Fellowship of Christian Athletes Leadership Board. Ms. Walker has three grown children: Darrion is a cheer and dance coach in Houston, Texas, Chris is the campus director for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes at the University of Tennessee, and Briana is currently in culinary school in Boulder, Colorado. She resides in Jefferson City with her fur baby, Gabbie, a six-year-old rescue.
