DEPARTMENT OF MUSIC

OVERVIEW + PROGRAMS

In the Carson-Newman Music Department, we share your passion for the musical arts. If you are pursuing a career in performance, worship leadership or teaching, you’ll find unmatched opportunities here to prepare for your chosen field. With a student-to-faculty ratio of less than 10:1, our professors invest personal attention in challenging you to reach your fullest potential.

To learn more about the music program, we invite you to join us for an on-campus experience. Sit in on classes, perform with our ensembles, go to lunch with a C-N music student and try out an applied lesson with one of our music faculty members!

Music Major for a Day – The Music Department invites all interested high school students to join us and see what it is like to be a Music Major for a day. You can sit in on classes, perform with our ensembles, go to lunch with a C-N music student and have an applied lesson with one of our music faculty members.
