Research, Creativity, and Performance Day was born out of the Carson-Newman community's desire to showcase the excellent work in which our members engage both inside and beyond the classroom. Showcasing work by undergraduate and graduate students, as well as faculty, the yearly event brings the campus together to celebrate our intellectual and artistic accomplishments.
Carson-Newman students have many opportunities to engage in research, including:
- Scholarly writing
- Scientific experiments
- Statistical studies
- Interdisciplinary projects
- Creative works of art
- Study abroad
Highlights of RCP Day include presentations from seniors graduating from the Honors Program and work from students at the Bonner Center, art shows and musical performances that take place throughout the day, and a colloquium showcasing recent faculty research and creative work. Students and faculty from departments across campus participate. You can take a look at last year's schedule to get an idea of the breadth of work offered during this unique and important event.
