The Master of Education program is designed to prepare licensed teachers to take on leadership roles in PreK-12 schools. The MEd includes a common core of 18 hours of courses and is structured to provide a variety of options for graduate students.


Eligible candidates can choose from two options to complete the program.

In addition to the overall goals for the master's program in education, MEd candidates will:


  • Develop extensive knowledge of leadership and change within educational and other societal institutions;
  • Analyze and interpret school and primary research data and can conduct action research to effect change; and
  • Foster and maintain relationships within the school, and with the district, parents, and community members to support student achievement.
