Campus Ministries

Our Mission

The Campus Ministries Department supports the mission of the university by striving to share Christ’s love and ministering to the C-N family.  It seeks to promote a more purposeful relationship with God and actively engage others in service and missions.

Get Connected!

Spiritual Growth

  • Worship/Fellowship—B.A.S.I.C. (Brothers and Sisters in Christ), 9-10 p.m., Wednesdays, First Baptist Church, Jefferson City Fellowship Hall
  • Small group discipleship/Bible studies
  • Retreats and conferences

Service through Missions and Ministry

  • Local, national and international mission experiences (S.P.O.T.S.—Special Projects Other Than Summer offered during fall/spring breaks, May term)
  • Ministry to the campus and local community
  • Seed Company Band
  • DiscipleNow Teams
  • Social justice causes

Other Chartered Christian Student Groups

C-N United, Global Outreach, Supporting Women in Missions and Ministry, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, YOKE (middle school ministry), and Young Life (high school ministry).

Student Chaplaincy Program

The Carson-Newman Student Chaplaincy Program seeks to promote a Christian environment where students can learn and grow holistically while living in a safe and respected atmosphere.  Upper-classmen may apply to serve as a residence hall chaplain.
