About Residence Life
Welcome to the Department of Residence Life! This department is committed to creating and sustaining a cooperative living environment for residents which fosters learning and personal growth while providing a cultural climate focusing on social interaction, relationship development, and the needs of all individuals.
We believe that an encouraging and inviting living community fosters academic success for our students, as well as enhancing personal growth and creating life-long friendships. As such, our Residence Life staff are committed to providing community-enriching programming, both at the hall, building, and campus-wide levels.
We encourage students to take on leadership roles within their residential communities. Such positions include membership in a Residence Hall Council (RHC), serving as a Resident Assistant (RA), or working as a Desk Assistant.
If you wish to learn more about the campus residential facilities, visit our Living On Campus page! For incoming and returning students, find out when to arrive on campus by visiting our Move-In Days page.
We require full-time students to live on campus unless they fulfill one or more of the criteria for living off campus. Students meeting any of these criteria must apply and receive approval from the Residence Life Office. This application process is described in the Living Off Campus. Students living off-campus must adhere to the University Code of Conduct.
