Time Capsule Submission Application

On February 11, 2013, in honor of the university's name change from Carson-Newman College to Carson-Newman University, a time capsule will be sealed to then be placed into the ground for one hundred years. This capsule will commemorate the student experience and campus culture of our present, the hope of our future, and the heritage and history of those who open it and call it their past.

The Student Government Association is thrilled to facilitate this unique opportunity for our students to leave thoughtful mementos and heartfelt messages for our far-off successors to uncover.

If you would like to submit an item to be considered for placement in the time capsule, please complete the form below. The deadline for submissions is Monday, February 4.

Tips for submissions:

Video entries such as video journals, a day-in-the-life compilations, or similar reflective video pieces should be limited to 2-3 minutes. Videos beyond this length may still be considered depending on content and purpose.

Written items can be submited below within the form as a PDF or a picture. If desired, the hard copy of your written item can also be submitted to the SGA Office, MSAC 1000.

No personal property or items unrelated to Carson-Newman will be considered.
