Recreational Services Trips – Fall 2019

The Recreational Services Council has four trips planned for students this fall! This is your personal invitation from the council members: Corbin Hedges, Tristan MacDonald, Michael Sobiech, and Spenser Smith to join the fun! Final registration for all trips is in the Rec. Services Office - MSAC room 1014 along with payment as required per trip. On-line pre-registration is available below.

Mossy Creek Mini Golf – Friday, September 6 – 5:00pm - 8:00pm, Jefferson City

Walk on over or drive or ride in our shuttle van from the MSAC to Mossy Creek Mini Golf. Our very own putt-putt course that is a certified USPMGA course and will be hosting the Tennessee open in September 2020! Transportation in 1 van. Leave from C-N MSAC around every half hour or just show up to the course on your own and Corbin Hedges will be there. Get 1 free game of mini golf or uprade to an Eagle pass that is free golf for the whole school year and receive $6 off! Trip capacity: unlimited. Shuttle Transportation in one C-N van. Leave around every half hour starting at 5 until 7:30. Regular Price = $6.00. Your cost is FREE or $6 off an eagle pass.

SUNSET HIKE TO MAX PATCH - Saturday, September 28 – 4:30 pm – 9:30 pm, North Carolina state line

Soak in the beautiful views of the top of a bald right on the TN and NC border with an invigorating hike/walk to Maxpatch. Enjoy an easy walk up a hill and receive a 360 degree view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Trip capacity: 20 persons. Transportation in 2 vans. Leave C-N at 4:30pm and return about 9:30pm. Trip is FREE including transportation, but participants are responsible for bringing their own food for lunch or snacking on the trail.

BIKE TRIP - CREEPER TRAIL - Sunday, October 13 – 8:30am – 5:30pm, Damascus, VA

Ride the famous and gorgeous Virginia Creeper Trail! This 17-mile journey has beautiful mountain views, passes through pristine forests, crosses clear streams and generally brings peace to the soul! The ride is easy, mostly downhill, and well worth the effort. Bike rentals are available for those without a bike. Trip capacity 20 persons. Transportation on 2 vans. Leave C-N at 8:30am and return about 5:30pm. We will be eating lunch at Damascus about 11:00am. Participants are responsible for buying their lunch. Regular price (including bike rental and shuttle service) =$27.00. Your cost is only $13.00 + lunch ($8.00 + lunch if you bring your own bike)

ESCAPE GAMES - Saturday, November 23 – 12:45pm - 5:00pm, Pigeon Forge

Here’s how it works: You and your team will work together to find clues, overcome challenges, and ultimately complete a mission. Escaping will require teamwork, communication, wits, a sense of adventure, and most importantly: YOU! Trip capacity: 20. Transportation by 2 vans. Leave C-N at 12:45pm and return about 5:00pm. Normal cost = $40.00 (not including food). Your cost is only $20.00 including transportation. Trip participants are responsible for food purchased on the island.

You may pre-register for trips below. Registration is only complete when you confirm your trip(s) and pay in the Recreational Services Office, MSAC Room 1014. ** TO GO ON THE TRIP YOU MUST HAVE PAID FOR IT BY 3 PM ON THE FRIDAY BEFORE THE TRIP **
