The Dean of Students and all Student Services professionals work to provide a healthy, supportive campus life for students. We strive to help students become responsible, active contributors to their community and we offer opportunities for growth not only intellectually, but emotionally, physically, spiritually and socially.
The Dean of Students serves as the chief student conduct officer for the University. In situations where students exhibit irresponsible or disruptive conduct that violates college expectations, disciplinary action may be implemented. Student conduct is governed by the Eagle Student Handbook and the Guide to Residence Life.
We want all students to find a sense of “place” at Carson-Newman. Each individual brings something special to the table and we foster a community spirit. Students are encouraged to get involved with the numerous opportunities for fun and learning offered throughout each semester in student organizations, campus ministries and in the residence halls.
