Student Affairs Celebrates Academic Year 2011-12

 

Kara Woolsey, Luke Willoughby, Von Jessee, Caroline Segers, Chris Coleman, Katie Boleware, and Dr. Ross Brummett were among many recognized that the 2011-2012 Student Affairs Awards Banquet.

The Division of Student Affairs held its annual banquet Monday evening. Thirty-three awards were given to students, faculty, staff and campus organizations. Honorees include:

Resident Assistant of the Year:  Jerilyn L. Jones

First Year Student Commitment Award:  Katie Boleware

Appalachian Outreach Student Volunteer of the Year:  Michael Redmond

Baptist Collegiate Ministries Servant Spirit Award: Ryan Carter

James and Irene Murphy Missions Scholarship: Kali Freels and Rachel Rogers

B.O.L.D. Student Worker Service Award:  Christina Hale

Eagle Production Company Star Student Award: Kevin Burton

Eagle Production Company Star Supporter Award:  Ross Brummett

SGA Most Valuable Committee: Projects and Services Committee

SGA Most Valuable Student Advocate:  Luke Willoughby

SGA Volunteerism Award:  Kara Woolsey

SGA Staff Appreciation Award:  Ross Brummett

Student Body President’s Excellence Award:  Von Jessee and Caroline Segers

Student Ambassador of the Year:  Jody Barker

SAA Student Philanthropy Organization of the Year: Mortar Board

Senior Intramural Student Director Service Awards:  Daniel Elliott and Kara Woolsey

Senior Intramural Supervisor Service Award: Jacob Allred

Male Intramural Soaring Eagle Award: Logan Hester

Female Intramural Soaring Eagle Award: (Yet to be determined)

Safety and Security Outstanding Service Award: Ethan Long

Safety and Security Certificate of Appreciation:  Talia Wisecarver
