Job Title: Student Accounts Clerk.
Department: Treasurer’s Office.
Reports To: CFO/Controller.
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt.
Summary Description: Assist the head cashier by taking payments and helping students at the student account’s window. Make contact with students who have outstanding balances. Every effort should be made to ensure that they do not end up in collections upon graduation.
Functional Description: This position is responsible for scanning documents into EDC to create electronic files. Other responsibilities include approval of transcript releases, responding to phone calls, phone messages and email, filing, explaining statements and refund disbursements to students and parents, and printing, reviewing and entering refunds to be processed. Other tasks as assigned by supervisors.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Oversee and train student workers.
Education: High school graduate, associate degree preferred.
Experience: 2 years office and customer service experience.
Required Skills: Math and detail-oriented skills, familiarity with Microsoft products, ability to interact well with others and multi-tasking.
