ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR OF PSYCHOLOGY

Carson-Newman University invites applicants to apply for the position of Assistant or Associate Professor of Psychology. The position is a full time tenure track. Candidates for the position should have a doctorate in psychology or be very near the completion of their degree. Review of applications will begin October 15 and continue until the position is filled. The position is open for January, but applicants who wish to start in August will also be considered.
A successful candidate will be able to contribute to our general psychology core and applied areas such as counseling and forensics areas of psychology. Strong preference will be given to candidates with a health service provider license( Psychologist or LPC) and experience with patient populations. We are a small, discipline-diverse Psychology Department that values excellence in teaching and advising, mentoring undergraduate students in research and community service, and uses participatory decision-making.

The rank and salary will be commensurate with educational preparation and experience. Group life and health insurance as well as a 401K retirement plan are available on a participating basis.
