From a world-class education to professors that promote a Christ-like, family atmosphere, junior Emma Denton will give you a glimpse into our lovely C-N Education Department!

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Establishing a critical foundation for children, elementary school teachers are helping to shape future world changers. The elementary education program at Carson-Newman prepares you to be licensed as a K–5 elementary teacher, completing all training to graduate with a Tennessee teaching license. Our program is highly respected statewide, and our teacher candidates are highly sought after. The K-5 Elementary Education licensure program was part of the most recent joint review conducted by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) and the Tennessee Department of Education. Very closely related is the high-need area of special education.
