Established in 2013, Eagle Scholars recognizes and celebrates the academic achievements of our student athletes. In seven years, the program has grown from its inaugural class of 72, to honoring more than 300 student athletes for their exceptional academic success.
To become an Eagle Scholar, student-athletes must have a GPA of 3.25 or higher. Eagle Scholars receive a patch to wear on their uniforms during regular season competition. Student-athletes who maintain a GPA higher than 3.75 are recognized as Gold Scholars and receive a gold patch to wear throughout the season.
The Director’s Cup is presented to the top academic team on campus which best represents the values espoused by the Eagle Scholar Program as selected by the Eagle Scholar Committee. This award acknowledges the athletic team who personifies scholarship and athletic excellence. Past winners are listed below:
