    Dr. Carlisle is a counselor educator who teaches in the areas of human development, forensic psychology, and counseling techniques. Her research interests are disrupted attachment and attachment disorders. She has extensive clinical experience with children and families and holds several national counselor certifications. Dr. Carlisle also serves as advisor to the psychology club. Her hobbies include martial arts, horseback riding, reading and travel.

    Dr. Collins is a social psychologist who teaches in the areas of social and positive psychology as well as psychological research and statistics. He is the point person for the positive psychology minor. His research interests are styles of remembering and the application of remembering styles to positive life skills. In his free time, Dr. Collins enjoys hiking, gardening, family time, and playing tenor sax with the AMPS (Absent Minded Professors).

    Dr. Dye is a social psychologist with special concentration in women's studies. She teaches in the areas of social psychology, personality and gender studies. Her research interest is in stereotyping, stigma, and identity development in regards to gender and Appalachian populations. Dr. Dye advises the psychology Honor Society, Psi Chi. In her free time you often find her at the ice skating rink with her synchronized skating team or teaching children to skate.

    Dr. Malavanti is an experimental psychologist with a concentration in memory and cognition. She teaches in the areas of cognitive psychology, psychology and law, and statistics and research design. Her research interests include juror decision making, eyewitness memory, working memory, and social justice issues (racial biases, etc.). She enjoys reading a good book, snowboarding, and helping with dog rescue organizations.

    Dr. Osborne is both a community and ecological psychologist. He is the creator of the social entrepreneurship major/non-profit leadership major which encourages citizens to work for the common good. He is interested in community organization, peace studies and environmental psychology. He is Carson-Newman’s 2010 Outstanding Professor and a Bonner Center Fellow. His free time is spent enjoying outdoor activities such as hiking and kayaking and writing and playing music.

    Dr. Laura Wadlington is a Licensed Psychologist, Health Service Provider, who has experience in mental health, school psychology and private practice. She teaches in the areas of human development and abnormal psychology. Her research interests are multiple intelligences, optimism and self-efficacy. Dr. Wadlington also serves as Chair of the Department of Psychology and Dean of the School of Social Sciences. She enjoys hiking, smooth water kayaking, and singing with several groups.
