$30,000 to start a new named scholarship
The declared yield is set by the Trustees and is currently at 4%. 30,000 X 4% = 1200 per year
Current top music scholarship is $5000 and has been that for several years. We need to move to $6000. $150,000 is needed to yield $6000 each year.
$1,000,000 would yield $40,000 each year
We would like to be an All-Steinway School
To become an All-Steinway School, 90% or more of the acoustic pianos owned by an institution must be Steinway & Sons, Boston or Essex pianos.
We currently have 54 pianos on campus, 21 of which are either Boston or Steinway (39%). To achieve the 90% requirement, 49 of the 54 pianos must be Steinway or Steinway-designed. Therefore, our goal is to purchase 28 more pianos to achieve All-Steinway status.
Cost of 28 new pianos:
| Model | Cost | Quantity Needed | Total | |
| Boston UP-126E |
Practice rooms, select faculty studios |
$14,077 | 19 | $267,463 |
| Steinway O | Piano faculty studios | $59,569 | 4 | $238,276 |
