Carson-Newman Summer Music Camp

The Carson-Newman Department of Music is proud to sponsor Summer Music Camp for students in grades five through twelve. Campers may participate in Senior Honors Band, Junior Band or Beginner Band, Senior Honors Chorus, Junior Chorus or Piano & Organ Camp during the week long session.

The Carson-Newman campus is situated in the foothills of the beautiful Smoky Mountains of East Tennessee. The university is acclaimed annually in national publications as one of the best liberal arts schools in the South, and is fully experienced in summer camp operations, hosting over 8,000 students annually in summer camps and other events. Leading music educators from across the state and region will join the C-N Music Faculty and Music Camp staff to provide both a quality musical experience and fun week for all campers.

From Monday afternoon registration through the end of camp on Saturday, campers will enjoy a non-stop mix of ensemble rehearsals, masterclass and sectional rehearsals, structured and free-time recreation, and evening entertainment and social activities. In addition to ensemble rehearsals, campers will also have the option of receiving a half-hour or hour private lesson if desired. Saturday evening concerts will conclude the camp, with performances by all camp ensembles. The concerts are free and open to the public, with family and friends of music campers encouraged to attend. Join us for this exciting week of Summer Music Camp at Carson-Newman University.
