Political Science Major and Minor

Political Science Major

For a major in political science, a student must complete no less than 30 hours in political science to include the following:

  •    PSC 101 Intro to American Civil Liberties and Rights
  •    PSC 102 American Government and Politics

ONE of the following:

  •    PSC 312 Middle East Politics
  •    PSC 313 Global Politics
  •    PSC 314 International Human Rights
  •    PSC 315 Contemporary International Issues
  •    HIST 413 American Diplomatic History

The student must also complete 9 hours in history to include:

  •   HIST 134 or 202,
  •   and two 3-hour 300 or 400 level HIST courses for a total of 39 hours.

A student must make a grade of “C” or better in major courses.

Political Science Minor

For a minor in political science, a student must complete 18 hours of political science coursework including PSC 101 and PSC 102.
