Faith and Learning Questions

In the Education department, faculty and students explore questions that integrate their Christian faith with their course content. For example,

  • How do students who feel called by God to teach live out their calling in public schools that are religiously neutral environments?
  • If we define education as the lifelong process by which individuals maximize their potential for development (includes all area of development . . . .physical/motor, language/cognitive, social/emotional, and moral/spiritual), how do we accomplish that within high-stakes testing environments?
  • What strategies can teachers use to ensure that ALL children develop to their fullest potential . . . Including those with special needs?
  • How does the public school educator work to bring about social change that will improve educational opportunities for children in poverty?
