CHEMISTRY CLUB: Kappa Epsilon Mu
Joining Carson-Newman's KEM Club is a great way to get plugged into the student community, especially if you are a science major. Also, we encourage our members to join the American Chemical Society (www.acs.org/join) in order to promote their integration into a much broader scientific community of professionals. The club's activities include performing fun experiments for children in the community, campus beautification, providing refreshments to the faculty and students of the science building, and creating learning opportunities for our members which may have otherwise been unavailable. Our activities are manifestations of our commitments to improve Carson-Newman and the surrounding community and to promote a passion for science, both in our members and in the children of the community. Membership fees are $15, and if you choose to join ACS, we will reimburse the $24 fee that they charge.
