Tri-Beta Biological Honor Society
Student Organization for Biology Majors
Since 1960, the Department of Biology has offered membership to the biological honor society, Beta Beta Beta. Tri-Beta is a society for students, particularly undergraduates, dedicated to improving the understanding and appreciation of biological study and extending boundaries of human knowledge through scientific research. Regular membership is open to biology majors who are second semester sophomores and have completed at least three term courses in biology with a 3.0 GPA or better and are in good academic standing. Associate membership is open to students who do not yet meet the regular membership criteria. Participating students enjoy a variety of civic, social, and health-professions-related activities each semester.
